CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF NORTH TEXAS
Description of the Program
The Plumbing levels one through three are all started in the Fall semester.
NOTE: Semester “A” is the first semester of each level. Semester “B” is the second semester of each level. Basic Safety, Plumbing Safety,
Introduction to the Plumbing Professional, Introduction to Hand Tools,
Introduction to Power Tools, Tools of the Plumbing Trade, Introduction
to Construction Math, Introduction to Plumbing Math, Copper Tube and
Fittings, and Cast Iron Pipe and Fittings. Plumbing Journeyman Prep that will
provide a review of subjects that are needed to pass the written exam for
the plumber’s journeyman license exam. For the practical portion of the
exam the class will also include practice on our custom designed house,
this house is comparable to the 2-story house used in the State of Texas
Plumbing Exam in Austin. The Essentials of Medical Gas Systems will be
covered to provide you with a basic understanding of the fundamentals
of Medical Gas systems, equipment, wiring, gas uses, and design, as well as an understanding of 2015 NFPA 99 rules and regulations concerning
Medical Gas systems.
