Course topics will include: Orientation to the Trade; Basic Safety; Basic Communication Skills; Introduction to Construction Math; Introduction to Hand Tools; Introduction to Power Tools; Hand and Power Tools; Building Materials, Fasteners, and Adhesives; Basic Employability Skill; Introduction to Materails Handling; Introduction to Construction Drawings; Introduction to Construction Drawings, Specifications and Layout; Floor Systems; Wall Systems; Ceiling Joist & Roof Framing; Introduction to Building Envelope Systems; Introduction to Basic Rigging; Introduction to Building Envelope Systems, and Basic Stair Layout.

Consists of 80 hours per semester - Course topics will include: Rigging Equipment; Rigging Practices; Properties of Concrete; Reinforcing Concrete; Handling and Placing Concrete; Trenching and Excavating; Foundations and Slab-on-Grade; Vertical Formwork; Horizontal Formwork; and Tilt-Up Wall Panels.
